Cat on a Hot Tin Roof by Tennessee Williams, is the highlight of this year's 9th Annual Tennessee Williams Festival in St. Louis. We've crafted a hand-drawn poster that accentuates the tense dynamic between the central figures, Maggie and Brick. The close juxtaposition of characters amid a crimson backdrop is both striking and evocative, navigating the delicate balance between love and turmoil. Brick's enigmatic presence, cast in shadow, underscores his secretive nature, while Maggie's eyes, looking at the audience, connect with viewers in profound solitude.

Our second hand-drawn poster served to promote four complimentary one-acts under the theme The Wicked Stage. The poster features a portrait of a young Tennessee Williams crowned with the iconic landmarks of Grand Center to reintroduce the author to a younger audience while elevating Grand Center as a theater destination.

Expanding on the poster’s title, we created Scratch, a font which captures the pervasive sense of despair in Williams’ iconic play. Each character was meticulously hand-lettered using a brush pen, then scanned and digitized to preserve the unique imperfections of every brush stroke.
