Express Scripts is a pharmacy benefit management corporation. In 2017 it was the 22nd-largest company in the United States by total revenue, as well as the largest pharmacy benefit management organization in the country. Express Scripts had 2016 revenues of $100.752 billion.
Cartel’s founder, Carlos Zamora joined the organization in 2013 as a Creative Director in charge of brand evolution after the merger with Medco in 2013 until Cigna’s acquisition in 2018. His very first task was to brand The Express Scripts Lab 2.0. This project still remains a cherished milestone of corporate design, close to his heart.
The Express Scripts Lab is a 12,500 square-foot addition to the pharmaceutical benefits manager’s facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Designed by Clickspring Design, the Lab opened in July 2014 and showcases strategic innovation, actively demonstrating the practical application of clinical and behavioral expertise to improve health decisions and add value to the healthcare system.
